About Us
‘Nature is a catalyst for creativity and learning, offering challenge and adventure, a sense of achievement, which breaks through the everyday. A realm of possibilities where we can all find our place.
My motivation to guide people towards positive change stems from a desire to make a difference to peoples lives.
Inspiring resilience in others brings me great joy and fulfilment which is why I have committed my work to this cause.'
Hi my name is Jamie I am an outdoor leader with a passion for nature with over 17 years of working in supportive roles.
I started 'Wild Wisdom Ecotherapy' to reverse the negative impact the coronavirus pandemic had on vulnerable and isolated people. I developed a programme called 'wellbeing in the wilderness' to support a group of vulnerable adults accessing a local community centre. Wellbeing was assessed before and after the six week pilot showing a 20% increase in wellbeing across the group. The centre recognised I offered a unique service that directly benefited their staff and members and the group still runs to this date.
Since 2017 I have worked as a Senior Early Help Worker specifically working with young people and their families to navigate the wide range of challenges faced by young people today. I know all to well it can be a challenge to find the right support for young people. In response to this I have developed a dynamic framework which can be delivered in a location that suits the individual honing in on their interests.
As well as the extensive training I have received as part of my role within 'Early Help and Prevention Services' I also have qualifications in;
Forest School Leadership
Lowland Expedition Leader
Preparing to Teach in The Lifelong Learning Sector
DofE Leader, Supervisor and Assessor
Outdoor Remote First Aid
National Navigators Award
Counselling
Intensive Mindfulness Training
